Vikings escape with win over Colts as offense continues to struggle

MINNEAPOLIS — It was starting to look bleak for Kyler Murray on Sunday, Oct. 25, at U.S. Bank Stadium. He was completely out of sorts in the flow of the offense, as putting together a scoring drive started to look like an advanced calculus course. Then he turned back the clock to give the Vikings a spark. With the pocket collapsing around him, Murray decided to tuck and run, weaving his way through the open field for a 35-yard gain. It was a reminder of what he s still very much capable of when nothing else is working. On the very next play, Murray sold the fake handoff on play action and then lofted a pass to T.J. Hockenson, who stretched across the goal line for a touchdown. You could almost feel the offense breath a collective sigh of relief as the Vikings finally took a lead they wouldn t relinquish en route to a 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
